It was Win-10's Build 10049 that did it. I tried three times to get it to install, and the closest I got, doing manual rebooting to keep the damned thing trying, was to get to 57% installed. And of course 57% of an operating system isn't worth a fuck. So I said "That's It! - Back to something that works!" And I wiped Windows 10 Technical Preview in favor of good old reliable Windows 7 SP1.
