A little help with your Windows 8
For the gadgets pack, here is their website at 8GadgetPack.
For the Heads Up Displays of clock and weather, here is factormystic.net.
These are all freebies, and as you see, they work great. Grab yours today.
Attention Windows 7 users:
Those Heads Up Displays of clock and weather work fine in Windows 7 also.
For the gadgets, though, you'll have to limit yourselves to whatever came from
the factory. Sorry about that. That 8GadgetPack has more gadgets in it, but like its name implies, it only works in Windows 8. (Maybe you should upgrade!)
But where's the Start Button, you ask. Relax. It's right here!
However, beware of bundleware as you're installing it. There are others, but they all cost you money and they aren't that much better than this freebie.

But, we shouldn't HAVE to create these things. UGH! :-(
ReplyDeleteProbably not, Tom, but some of us do enjoy customizing our systems to please ourselves, and where there's a will, there's usually relatives.
ReplyDeleteJust now, I added the links to those.
That's a good one Ray...(Where there's will there's usually relatives...)
ReplyDeleteI just redid my will...and I feel I needed to do that...The bank (credit union) I'm with offered a $25.00 will with a lawyer who looks as old as me...Since I don't have a fortune to leave...I felt that I shouldn't spend a fortune to legally give it away...
I feel better now knowing that's taken care of...but...I told Margie that I can't go for a while since I have 4 years to pay off my credit card loan and my new HHR...Just think...Credit cards are working in my favor...(If I didn't have to pay them off...I might be 6 feet under already...)
Don'tcha know????
Hehe

ReplyDeleteIn my next life, I want to be an orphan, and solve a lot of nasty aggravations before those happen.
I admire your plan of not leaving until you get the little Chevy all paid off, but that could be a mixed blessing.
I don't know how the car finance is handled these days for those who pass on during the payments term, but back in the 1950s when I was a field rep chasing slow pays for GMAC and a couple of similar car finance outfits before and after that, there was an insurance plan that you could purchase to cover your outstanding balance in the event of your sudden demise.
It might be worth looking into, if you haven't already.
And I think dying is a hell of way to get yourself out of South Carolina. What's your Plan 'B'?
