TV: The vast cultural wasteland

This just points to the fact that television is a vast cultural wasteland and a big recycle bin. All the best scenarios were used up decades ago. Reruns of stuff from the 1960s and 1970s and 1980s are more entertaining than the crap that these mediocre also-rans of today are producing. 

Like the Internet, TV had such promise when it first got popular. And then, again like the Internet, the shit-shovelers took over and it now resembles a pile of stable-cleanings out behind the barn - flies and all.
