Your security - or not...

It isn't going to be the government changing rules for a free Internet, or the Service Providers limiting your bandwidth or choking your downloads that will kill the Internet. It's guys like this hacking your personal data that will eventually convince most of us that we're safer pulling the plug, and going back to the old-fashioned phone and fax. So don't throw out your fax machine.

You can improve your odds by using this encryption program for your keyboard to fight keyloggers trying to grab your info. This works on any browser, and you should have it. And in addition to your regular anti-virus, you should have the
security program Malwarebytes which blocks malicious sites for you. As they tell us, it isn't anti-virus, but rather it supplements your anti-virus by catching things anti-virus misses, and vice versa - it misses some things anti-virus will catch. But I find it's most useful for blocking malicious websites trying to get into my computer, and it shows you their IP Address as it does that, so you can do a search for that, and find out where the bad guys are, and what hosting site they are using. Then you can add them to a blacklist if you wish. Malwarebytes also has some other tools that can get you going if your machine is infected.
