Martians: Made, not born...

This comedy of errors is shaping up like a not-so-bright outline for a reality TV show, like we really need another of those. And the people involved seem to have very little real idea of what Mars is actually like.

It's a mostly-frozen barren wasteland whose original environment was virtually destroyed about three and a half billion years ago when a meteoroid nearly the size of Pluto hit it near its equator and punctured its crust. What's there now is not the complete original planet, and it doesn't have everything it needs to sustain life as we know it. It's also on the bitter outer edge of the habitable zone around our sun, and if things could grow there, we'd already have found them.

If people insist on committing suicide, they should do it here - it's cheaper!

    My thoughts exactly Ray.

  2. It does seem like a very expensive burial ground, don't you think?

Not to mention, it's a hell of a way to treat a neighboring planet.
