This is what's wrong with U.S. gun laws....

Problem is, any deranged nutcase can own and use firearms, and they do.

Maybe denying guns to ordinary citizens won't deter the criminal element, but it sure as hell cuts down on the chances of guys like this going crazy with one.
You can't legislate against insanity, but you can legislate against this.
