You know me so well.... Yes! The 1937 version, from the year that I was five, and discovered the old RCA Victor Victrola on the workbench in the garage, and began playing a stack of these old 78s on it. The little tin box of spare needles with it was empty, so I used a very small finishing nail with a good point on it, and it worked. The marvels of science! Jan Garber and his Orchestra playing 'All I Do Is Dream Of You' was one of my favorites. I just about wore it out. There was just something about that song that grabbed me.
Well, besides her sultry voice, good looks, piano magic player, etc... Which version is your favorite?
ReplyDeleteI can only assume the 1937 version..
