AeroGlass for Windows 8 and 8.1

While I was excitedly babbling about this, I neglected to include the link to its website, and that would be here.

This is looking like it's becoming one of the more popular topics that I've posted lately, and I'm glad. And it probably proves something that I saw while doing a little research into visual effects as used in Windows.  If you can find time to read through a lot of back-and-forth here you will eventually come to some very keen observations about Microsoft and its intentions for Windows 8 according to these writers.

The observation that Microsoft does everything purposely, and that they removed personalization and appearance features from Windows 8, making it less configurable for individual users specifically in an attempt to force us to find ways of working more in their Metro or modern format is an opinion that I share. And I think Microsoft has now realized that they can't tell us what to like, or what to use, especially if it happens to be less convenient that previous systems were. All of which goes to prove why Windows 8 sales are anything but good. It is definitely not setting the Internet on fire.

And that's too bad, as those guys in that Forum pointed out, because it's a good program, and it could be great, if only they'd left in more of the features we had in previous versions, allowing us to configure it to personal taste.

Here's Windows 8 as few have ever seen it, with Aero Glass and Gadgets restored, and it works just fine. Microsoft should try it. Hopefully soon.
