Israelis vs Palestinians....

On Bill Maher's 'Real Time with Bill Maher' last night, one of them at the table said, "Someone has put it like this: 'The Israelis use missiles to protect their people. The Palestinians use their people to protect their missiles. That's the difference between them.' "

So the picture I'm getting is that the only thing standing between the Palestinians and the Israelis reaching a peaceful solution is Hamas and its supply of weapons. That begs the question of where they are getting those, and why can't their supplies be cut off? 

Politics, no matter where, becomes the art of the possible. If you're trying to do the impossible, as Hamas seems to be, then the problem becomes you, not whatever you have perceived it to be. If the leaders of Hamas are doctors and lawyers and other presumably intelligent people, they certainly aren't demonstrating much of that intelligence by their actions.

Before Bill became a comedic wit and caustic commenter on politically incorrect events and people in the news of the day, he appeared in a couple of big-screen movies. My favorite is Cannibal Women in the Avocado Jungle of Death (1989)
