Our Computers...
The PC is far from dead. But comparing desktops to mobiles and tablets is like comparing bananas to turnips. They live in two different worlds.
91.53% of Desktops are running Windows, and of those, 50.55% are using Win-7, while another 25.31% are still stuck on Win-XP, now unsupported by Microsoft. This might account for the recent increase in PC sales - to replace those now-obsolete XP machines and their systems. That's my theory....
Like I said, Desktops are almost exclusively using Windows in their world....
....while Mobiles and Tablets are speaking a whole other language using their iOS (45.61%) and Android (43.75%) for usually completely different tasks than the Desktops are doing.
My desktop can run three separate operating systems, and its monitor has been replaced by a 30-inch flat screen TV that also is still connected to satellite TV.
And you can't do that with an iPad or a tablet. Not on the bus, anyway.... so like I'm saying, these live in different worlds, doing different tasks for different reasons, and comparing them isn't so easy. We don't use a lawnmower to cut hair, and we don't use hair clippers to cut the lawn, and it's that simple.
