I thought chamber pots had become obsolete with the advent of indoor plumbing, but perhaps I was wrong. No wonder he doesn't want to look anyone in the eye. Neither would I, with that thing on my head. Only in North Korea, you say? You don't have to be crazy to live there, but it sure as hell helps!
