It's Canon all the way, Folks. The Pentax zoom, extended fully, and even at maximum digital zoom, shows absolutely no detail on the moon at all. All it does is enlarge the big ball of light, larger and larger. The Canon G9, with its additional 2X doubler lens mounted on top of the regular zoom lens, shows the above image with details.
