Suspicions Confirmed ? (Politics 101)
Mark Twain: It could probably be shown by facts and figures that there is no distinctively native American criminal class except Congress.
H.L. Mencken: It is inaccurate to say I hate everything. I am strongly in favor
of common sense, common honesty, and common decency.
This makes me forever ineligible for any public office.
Will Rogers: Tomorrow is Labor Day, I suppose set by act of Congress.
How Congress knows anything about labor is beyond me.
Frank H. Simonds: There is but one way for a newspaperman to look at
a politician and that is down.
George Burns: Too bad the only people who know how to run the country
are busy driving cabs and cutting hair.
Plato: Those who are too smart to engage in politics are punished by being
governed by those who are dumber.
Nikita Khrushchev: Politicians are the same all over. They promise to build
bridges even where there are no rivers.
W.C. Fields: I never vote for anyone; I always vote against.
Voltaire: It is dangerous to be right when the government is wrong.
Mort Sahl: Liberals feel unworthy of their possessions. Conservatives feel
they deserve everything they've stolen.
