Colored Folders for Windows...

Unlike OS-X, Windows doesn't natively have the option to choose various colors for your folders, to make sorting or finding them easier......until now....so check
out this freebie for doing that. Go here, and scroll down to Folder Colorizer.  The website looks like this...

And your folders can look like this...

Easier to see, right? Did I mention? It works in Windows 8 - just make sure you use Admin privileges while installing, and reboot after the install finishes.

Thursday, September 5th = Update:

I removed this from Windows 8, because it wasn't working quite according to plan, and their website offers no really detailed information on how to configure this program. After changing the colors of two or three folders for me, it began adding a colored folder into the folder's files of the one you wanted to change, so the change didn't take place, but a new colored folder appeared inside its files, showing a long string of numbers for a file name, and its extension was that of an .ico file. That made me a bit nervous, so I threw it all out, and shredded any remains I found in the system's files. I think the kids who built that thing got sent to bed before they had time to finish it. It's a neat idea, but only if it works, and mine didn't. So my apologies if you also had problems with it.....it definitely needs more work, and I was too hasty in recommending it.
