That Taskbar Panel - now that it's back...
Those two mostly-black rectangles in the center-right of the taskbar are readouts for the processors and memory (in that order) and if i click on the one on the left (processors) here's what comes on screen....
Not just one trace, but the whole story of what's happening. And the two little panels at the right-hand end (blue and grey) are miniature representations of two separate desktop work areas, so you can have different things on each if you wish, and switch between by clicking those little panels. Just in case you're bilingual or bisexual, or ambidextrous or whatever....
Don't like a Windows-like Taskbar? Then, how about a Dock, like you-know-who uses in theirs? Here I'm clicking on my 'Home' folder, to show how it enlarges when moused-over.... So all you Apple fans can feel at home in PC-BSD too, just like the rest of us..... and now we have an idea why Windows 8 hasn't been setting sales records, or moving any faster than 'Vasta Vista' did. Because there's other alternatives out here, Kiddies, and you can have some too.
