Meanwhile, Putin has the military flexing its muscles along the borders of the region, in yet another effort at intimidation. He doesn't seem to be a big believer in the dissolution of the old Soviet Union. No word lately on his recent butt-smooching efforts in China and India, both of whom could eat him alive.
