Why am I getting the feeling that this is about a fashionably religious mercenary shit-disturber trying to shake down T.G.I. Friday's over something that normally wouldn't amount to a pinch of coonshit? And for the record, God isn't a dietician.
God's interested in your soul, not your stomach. Read the book!
"What book?", you ask..........
This book, of course...
And, if you'd like to know where some of these ideas in the Bible came from, then you need another book.......
And in this Book Of The Dead, which is the ancient Egyptian version of a Bible,
you will find such as the following........
The antiquated English is a bit lumpy,
but the message comes through clearly.
I could improve it, if I did some work
on the modifiers in the hieroglyphics,
but for now, this is the original text.
There's more, but again, you have to 'read the book' - and for this one, it helps a lot if you have Dr. Budge's 'An Egyptian Hieroglyphic Dictionary' which is a two-volume set, totaling 1314 pages. It's fascinating stuff if you enjoy deciphering hieroglyphs to find out what they were really saying back in those Good Old Days. And guess what? The world of 3500 years ago was just as much a hotbed of intrigue as it is now - and human nature hasn't changed enough to be worth mentioning. But they did believe in a God of gods, and a hereafter, and
in rewards and punishments, not unlike we do today, contrary to popular belief.
But you have to read the book!
