Sandy had a much shorter partner, Little Norman. The first time I met them both together at one of our jobs, I asked Sandy "Who's your friend?" and he replied in his customary smart-assed fashion "That's '99'!" I had to ask, "Why do you call him '99'?" Sandy replied, "Because he's not big enough for a Buck."
I turned to Norman and asked "How do you put up with this guy?" Little Norman replied, "With great difficulty, and thanks for asking."
