What do you do about it?
Let's take Weather for an example. See it listed on the left column above your Start Button? Right-click it for a dropdown, and select "Pin to Start" and click that. Now, you have its tile in the Start Screen beside your list....
And if you click on that, Voila! - you have your full screen weather page....
It's all here, Folks - you just have to become familiar with where to find it. So don't be afraid to do a little poking around. We learn by doing. Click on things, and if it works, don't fix it! This Windows Ten is a lot more Desktop-friendly than Wonderful Win-8 was, as you'll quickly discover.
Statistics are hard to come by, and basically inaccurate, as Wikipedia points out, because of the difficulty of knowing how much of the software in use is pirated, begged, borrowed, and stolen. But the Desktop is far from dead, and the major O/S of choice still seems to be Windows 7. I've loved Windows 7 since Day One when its first test beta came out, and obviously, the world agrees with me. But Windows 10 might just change that, if we polish it up a little.
