Ah! Winter! - I remember it well...

The nice thing about winter in Vancouver is that we get to enjoy it mostly in pictures of it from elsewhere, like the above. This morning, here in The Great White North, it's 50 F, raining lightly, and the grass is nicely green.

Our climate here is mostly vertical. If we want real winter, we have to climb up the mountains 4,000 feet or so to a colder altitude, where the skiing will soon be starting. But down here near sea level, it stays green most of the year.
